Barrelville, MD - BARRELVILLE [mdash] Evelyn "Gigi" O'Baker, 65, of Barrelville, passed away peacefully at her home on Nov. 21, 2025, in the presence of her husband. She was born on Nov. 25, 1959, in Frostburg. She was the daughter of the late Jim and Susie Layton.
Gigi was a proud graduate of Bowie State University in 2000, where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. Gigi worked many places including AHEC West and eventually retired from Frostburg State University.
She was the loving wife of 43 years to Randy "Pork" O'Baker.
She enjoyed spending time with her fur babies Finley and Quinn, sitting at the pool with family and friends, reading and crafting.
Gigi was an avid "yardsaler" and engaged in yearly yard sales across the states. Gigi enjoyed traveling and going on adventures, visiting such places as Niagara Falls, Hawaii, and taking cruises.
She is survived by her loving husband and caregiver, Randy; her sister, Candy Merrill. and husband, Tim; two brothers, Roddy Layton and Shauwn Layton; and many nieces and nephews. Gigi is also survived by a special and longtime friend, Melissa Witt, and daughter, Sierra. Gigi was preceded in death by her parents, and brother, Jimmylee Layton.
**A celebration of life service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Cancer Society in her memory.
