Faye Marie Taylor Obituary

Terra Alta, West Virginia - TERRA ALTA, W.Va. [mdash] Faye Marie Taylor, 84, of Terra Alta, passed away peacefully Wednesday, June 17, 2026, at Dennett Road Nursing Home in Oakland, Maryland.

She was born on April 26, 1942, in Washington, D.C., a daughter of the late John Albert Taylor and Florence Faye (Lange) Taylor.

Faye graduated from Oxen Hill High School in Oxen Hill, and from Charles County Community College with a degree in Liberal Arts.

She found joy in crocheting, baking pies, cooking, and playing the flute. She performed with the Oxen Hill High School Band and the Terra Alta Community Band.

She was a member of the Colonial Dames of the 17th Century, Daughters of the American Revolution, and the Terra Alta Homemakers. Faye was a devoted cat lover, but her greatest love was always her family.

Faye is survived by two brothers, James Taylor and Charles Tighe; two sisters, Grace Briner and Joyce Brennan; many nieces and nephews, and numerous great nieces and great nephews.

In addition to her parents, Faye is preceded in death by a brother, Jack Taylor.

Friends may call at Saint Paul's Lutheran Church, 46 German Settlement Way, Aurora, WV 26705, on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, from 2 p.m. until the 3 p.m. time of service with Pastor Nancy Knol officiating. Interment will follow in the Aurora Cemetery.
