Frostburg, MD - Flora Annabelle (White) Hilderbrand, 87, of Frostburg, died at her home Friday, Jan. 16 2026.

She was born the eighth of 11 children to Willis and Macel White in the West Virginia coalfields on Aug. 31, 1938, in Jeffrey. She is survived by her two younger brothers, Paul and Willis White.

Annabelle moved to the Washington, D.C., area and began working for the Bell System after finishing high school. She quit her job with the Bell System in the early 1970s and relocated to Frostburg to raise her two children and spent many hours during that period volunteering in the public schools to help other kids.

She was dearly loved by her husband Robert, of 58 years; her daughter, Jennifer, and granddaughters Haley and Hannah; and her son, Bob, daughter-in-law Katia, and granddaughters Anna and Corinna.

Annabelle was fiercely loving and devoted to her family, especially her four granddaughters and her beloved Baltimore Orioles. Annabelle was a top-notch cook and baker who poured her love into providing for her loved ones and will be dearly missed.
