Francis DeSales "Frank" Montana, 67, of LaVale, died Sunday, Sept. 15, 2019, at the Western Maryland Regional Medical Center.
Frank was born on July 16, 1952, in Frostburg, to the late Samuel Paul Montana and Coeline Genevia (Lashley) Montana and was one of four children.
Frank married Jan Marie Dressman on June 7, 1975, and together they had two sons. Frank was past master of Potomac Lodge 100, AF&AM. He was also a member of the Ali Ghan Shrine Club and active in the Desert Legion Unit. Frank believed that it is important to fight for those that cannot fight for themselves. He enjoyed a good story and laughter with friends and family. He was deeply proud of his family, particularly his four grandchildren.
Frank is survived by his sons, Scott L. Montana and wife, Erin, Luray, Va., and Kristopher B. Montana, LaVale; and his grandchildren, Elliott, Evan, Violet, and Emmett. He also leaves behind his brothers, Vincent G. Montana and wife, Jody, Cumberland, and Nevin L. Montana and wife, Jeannie, Frostburg; and numerous cousins, nephews, nieces, and friends.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Jan; and his sister, Mary Theresa Kisamore.
Friends will be received at the Adams Family Funeral Home, P.A., 404 Decatur Street, Cumberland,( on Monday, Sept. 23, 2019, from 6 to 8 p.m. The Potomac Lodge 100 AF&AM will conduct a service at 7:30 p.m.
A memorial Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of the Mountains Parish, SS. Peter and Paul Shrine, 125 Fayette Street, on Tuesday, Sept. 24, 2019, at 10 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Shriner's Hospitals for Children, c/o Ali Ghan Temple, Post Office Box 1416, Cumberland, MD 21501-1416.

To my brothers Vincent and Nevin Montana. My sincere sorrow for the loss of your brother Frank. My thoughts and prayers to the Montana clan. For Vincent I am sure Frank will be traveling on the road to heaven heading to the East SMIB.
