Cumberland, Maryland - Francis "Frank" Leroy Snyder, 86, of Cumberland, Md., passed away Friday, Nov. 7, 2025, at UPMC Western Maryland.
Born Dec. 19, 1938, in Borden Mines, Md., Frank was the son of the late Carl Edward Snyder and Bertha Ellen (Winebrenner) Snyder. He was also preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Donna Lou (Sharp) Snyder; and his brother, Carl Joseph Snyder.
Frank graduated from LaSalle High School in 1956, and retired from Cumberland Electric after 41 years of service. He was a member of Our Lady of the Mountains Parish, the Fort Hill Rifle and Pistol Club, the Knights of Columbus #586, the Cumberland Moose Lodge #271, the American Legion Post #13, and the Cumberland Outdoor Club, as well as an associate member of the FOP Lodge #40. His favorite pastime was going to the rifle club, and he was a competitive shooter and hunter.
Frank is survived by his sons, Jeffrey Snyder and Matthew Snyder; his sisters, Rose M. Snyder and Virginia Colgan; and numerous nieces and nephews; as well as his close friends whom he spent a lot of time with at the rifle club.
Friends will be received at the Adams Family Funeral Home, P.A., 404 Decatur St., Cumberland, MD, www.AdamsFamilyFuneralHome.com, on Thursday, Nov. 13, 2025, from 10 a.m. to noon. A funeral service will follow at noon, with Father Steve Fernandes, OFM Cap, officiating.
Interment will be in Saint Mary's Cemetery.
