Keyser, WV - Frank Cody Pancake, Jr. of Keyser, WV, a devoted family man and father, passed away peacefully at the age of 98, on Tuesday, November 18 2025 at Frostburg Rehab Center.
Born on March 11 1927 in Keyser, Frank was a son of the late Frank Cody Pancake Sr. and Robbie N. (Dellinger) Pancake. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Muriel Hesse Kidner; and his brothers Richard and Louis Pancake.
Frank graduated from Keyser High School, Potomac State College, and West Virginia University. He served in the US Army in the Korean War. He retired as an agent of the Internal Revenue Service and thereafter went to work with Hantzmon Wiebel CPA Firm in Charlottesville, VA from where he ultimately retired in his early eighties.
He was a member of New Faith United Methodist Church in Schuyler, VA and attended the Sunnyside Covenant Brethren Church in New Creek.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife, Bobby S. Pancake, his son, Frank Cody Pancake III and wife Sherri; his grandchildren, Frank Cody Pancake IV and wife Emily, Cole David Pancake and wife Haley and Cassidy Ruth Pancake; his great-grandchildren, Audrey Grace Pancake, Rawley Brooks Pancake and Stetson Kenneth Frank Pancake.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting contributions be made to Boyce Houser Post #41, American Legion, 66 S. Main Street, Keyser, WV 26726 and Sunnyside Covenant Brethren Church, 9182 NW Turnpike, New Creek, WV 26743.
Friends and family will be received at the Sunnyside Covenant Brethren Church on Sunday, November 23, 2025 from 12:00pm-2:00pm. Funeral services will follow the visitation at the church at 2:00pm with Pastor Randy Shoemaker officiating. Interment will be in the Pancake Cemetery, New Creek, WV.
