Gabriel Malachi Tupa, the infant son of Robert "Bobby" Francis and Jennifer Joan Wright of Fort Ashby, W.Va., was born and immediately became an angel of God on Friday, Sept. 8, 2017, at J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his paternal grandparents, Robert Joseph and Ann Wilhelmina Tupa, of Smith Valley, Nev.; his maternal grandparents, James Grant and Amy Wright of Leonardtown, Md.; as well as several aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Jacqueline Wright.
In keeping with the wishes of the family, Gabriel will be cremated.
A Memorial Mass of the Angels will be celebrated at St. Michael Catholic Church, 44 E. Main St., Frostburg, Md.., on Wednesday, Sept. 13, 2017, at 11 a.m. with Father Ed Hendricks as celebrant. Friends may join in support of the family at the church one hour prior to services. Family and friends are respectfully asked to gather at the church no later than 10:45 a.m. on Wednesday.
Professional services are under the direction of Smith Funeral & Cremation Care, 108 Holland Ave., Morgantown.
