Paw Paw, West Virginia - Gary H. "B.C." Braithwaite, 72, of Paw Paw, W.Va., died Wednesday, May 15, 2019, at his home.

B.C. was born June 26, 1946, in Winchester, Va., a son of the late Howard and Helen Shaw Braithwaite.

He was a carpenter and truck driver and previously worked for the Red Cross. B.C. was a U.S. Army veteran, member of Paw Paw Fire and Rescue for more than 20 years, member of VFW Post 128 in Paw Paw, past member of the Paw Paw town council. B.C. enjoyed woodworking, building and tinkering with things.

B.C. married Karen Wilson Braithwaite on February 9, 1985, in Winchester.

Surviving with his wife of 34 years is his son, Gary C. "Chad" Braithwaite and his wife, Melissa, of Paw Paw; two daughters, Angela Love Kochel and her husband, Alfred, of Winchester; April Dawn Garris of Paw Paw; nine grandchildren, Brent, Robbie, Haden, Cody, Zach, Tucker, Christian, Clayton, Claire and McKenzie; and his special lap dog, Lilo.

A celebration of B.C.'s life will be held at the Paw Paw Fire and Rescue, 44 Moser Ave., on Sunday, June 2, 2019, at 2 p.m.
