Carpendale, WV - George F. Saville, 83, of Carpendale, W.Va., passed away quietly at his home on Tuesday, Nov 11, 2025. George was born in Cumberland, Md., son of Ronald and Helen Saville, of Cumberland.

He was preceded in death by his brothers, Richard and James Saville; and by his beloved wife, Jean (Miner).

George worked as a sheet metal worker for most of his life and was a member of Local Union 100, Sheet Metal Workers International Assoc.

He had a passion for antique cars and spent long hours in his garage restoring them to their former glory.

George lived a quiet, simple life with his beloved cats, Oscar, Bunky and Felicia, who stayed by his side through his long illness. His closest friends, Richard Ross, Gary Dolly, and Jane and Erol Shook, provided comfort and support in his time of need.

He is survived by his sister, Jo Chamness; her husband, Robert (Sam) of Florida; and 11 nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will be received Monday, Nov 17, 2025, from noon to 1 p.m. at Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., 108 Virginia Ave., Cumberland, MD. A funeral service will follow immediately at 1 p.m., with the Rev. Bernadette Ross officiating.

Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Park, 13800 Bedford Road NE, Cumberland.
