Glenn B. Crabtree
August 15, 1939 - January 7, 2021
Glenn B. Crabtree, 81, of Romney, W.Va., passed away on Thursday, Jan. 7, 2021, at Hampshire Center, Romney.
Born Aug. 15, 1939, in Keifer, he was the son of the late Ancel and Opal (Slider) Crabtree.
Glenn worked as an electrician for Celanese for many years, then started his own business, Hampshire Electric until retirement.
He graduated from high school in Oldtown and served in the U.S. Navy. He was a member of Romney Moose 1371, American Legion Post 0137 in Capon Bridge, W.Va., Slanesville Presbyterian Church, and Clinton Lodge 86 AF & AM of Romney. Glenn was a loving husband, father and grandfather.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters.
Surviving is his wife, Janet Alkire Crabtree; son, Glenn "J.R." Crabtree Jr. and wife, Kristen, of Cumberland; daughter, Sheila Hoffman and husband, Robert, of New Haven, Ind,; five grandchildren, Devon Napierkoski, Glenn "Buddy" Crabtree III, Taylor Aspito, Allison Wroblewski, Brandon Hoffman; and one great-grandchild, Oliver Wroblewski.
A private burial is planned in Salem Cemetery, Slanesville, W.Va.
Memorial services will be held at a later date.
All arrangements are being handled by McKee Funeral Home, Augusta, W.Va.

Plant a tree: How does it work
When your purchase is complete, a post will be made on the tribute wall of the deceased signifying the planting of a memorial tree.
An official certificate recognizing your purchase will be included with your email receipt. You can then forward the email to the family or print it and give it to them personally.
After an order is placed, our forestry partners will plant the tree in the area of greatest need (nearest the funeral home), according to the planting schedule for the year.
Due to seasonal conditions, the tree planting takes place during the spring and summer.

January - May
Planting will take place in Spring or Summer of the same year.
June - December
Planting will take place in Spring of the following year.
