Cumberland, MD - CLEARVILLE, Pa. [mdash] Gloria Pearl Johnson, 76, of Clearville, passed away Tuesday, July 1, 2025, at UPMC-Altoona.

Born May 29, 1949, in Cumberland, Maryland, Gloria was the daughter of the late Dayton B. May Sr. and Pearl Jeanette (Fletcher) May. She was also preceded in death by her brother and sisters, Patty Hoopengardner, Gary May, and Shirley Lanehart.

Gloria attended Flintstone High School, and was a former employee of Bedford Nursing home and the Chaneysville Volunteer Fire Department, where she was also a member of the auxiliary. She retired from the Rainbow Bar and Restaurant.

She loved helping anyone and everyone, always being there. She also enjoyed always making sure people were well fed.

Gloria is survived by her husband of 25 years, Randy Johnson; her daughter, Carmen Kopas; stepson, Wade Johnson; and her stepdaughter, Dawn Showalter. She is also survived by her step-grandchildren, Ethan Hawk and Jasper Wolfe; her brother, Dayton "Buck" May Jr., and wife, Eileen; and her sisters, Darlene Bittner, and husband, Kevin; and Joyce Crabtree and husband, Ronnie; as well as numerous nieces and nephews; her special friend, Nancy Corbin; and her little dog, Penny.

Friends will be received at the Adams Family Funeral Home, P.A., 404 Decatur Street, Cumberland, MD, on Friday, July 11, 2025, from 4 to 7 p.m.

A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home on Saturday, July 12, 2025, at 11 a.m., with Pastor Jonas Smith officiating. Interment will be in Glendale Cemetery.

The family wishes to give a special thanks to the UPMC Hillman Cancer Center in Altoona for all the care and compassion given, and many thanks to her best friends, Bobby and Alma, for being such good friends to Gloria.
