Gregory Lynn Wamsley, 68, of Big Lane, Midland died Monday, Oct. 9, 2023, at his residence.
Born on Feb. 3, 1955, Greg was the son of the late Charles Wamsley and Regina (Twigg) Wamsley. He was preceded in death by his wife, Phyllis Wamsley, on May 30, 2022; and his brother, Terry "Wiggy" Wamsley.
Greg was a graduate of Valley High School and retired from CSX Railroad. He was the life of the party.
He leaves behind his daughter, Lynsy Wamsley and John Royal and their children, Ruby, Jimmy, and Amethyst Royal, of Frostburg; his son, Wesley Wamsley, of Midland; siblings, Beverly Nolan and husband, George and Charles Wamsley and wife, Norma; and several nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind his beloved dog, Penny.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 25, 2023, at 1 p.m., at Wilhelm-Eakin Funeral Home, P.A., Midland. Family and friends will be received one hour prior to the service.
