Cumberland, MD - Harold Alan Bane, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle, passed away March 20, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family. He was the cherished son of the late Harold Clifton and Mary Lou (Malcomb) Bane.

Harold was a devoted man of Christian faith, finding strength, comfort, and guidance in his relationship with God. His faith was a cornerstone of his life, reflected in the way he loved, supported, and cared for his family and others. He lived with kindness, humility, and a servant's heart, always striving to do what was right.

He was a loving husband to Patricia Bane, with whom he shared a life full of love, strength, and partnership. He was a proud and caring father to his two daughters, Brittany Collins and her husband Steven Collins, and Katelynn May. His greatest joy came from his family, and he took immense pride in watching them grow and thrive.

Harold was also passionate about sports, a love that brought him joy throughout his life. Whether he was watching a game, cheering on his favorite teams, or sharing that excitement with his family, sports were one of the many ways he connected with others and created lasting memories.

He was a wonderful grandfather to Kylie Collins, Abel Sines, and Thomas Femi, who will forever remember his warmth, guidance, and unconditional love.

Harold was also a dear brother to Mary Rose Haldas and her husband Michael Haldas, and a loving uncle to Allie Haldas. He valued his family deeply and always made time for those he loved, offering support, laughter, and kindness.

Harold will be remembered for his generous heart, his unwavering dedication to his family, his strong faith, and the lasting impact he made on everyone who knew him. His memory will live on in the lives of those he touched.

He will be deeply missed and forever loved.

Friends will be received at Upchurch Funeral Home, P.A., Cumberland, MD, on Saturday, March 28th. From 2 to 4 p.m. The service will follow at 4 p.m., with Pastor Phil Kifer, officiating, assisted by Allison Lemley.
