Harold Edward Nixon, 67, of Hancock, passed away on Saturday, June, 3, 2017, at his home.

Born Sept. 27, 1949, in Cumberland, he was the son of the late John Edward and Frances Althea Heller Nixon.

Harold was retired from the State of Maryland.

Harold is survived by four sons, Jeff, Bret, Aaron and Christopher; one sister, Margery E. Davis and husband, Norman J.; and one brother, Clarence E. Nixon and wife, Barbara; and several nephews.

Services will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, June 9, 2017, at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Boulevard, Hagerstown. The Rev. Robert Robinson will officiate.

Burial will be at Cedar Lawn Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends Friday, June 9, 2017, two hours prior to services at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Humane Society of Washington County, 1301 Maugansville Rd., Hagerstown, MD 21740; or to the American Heart Association, PO Box 5216, Glen Allen, VA 23058.
