Rawlings, MD - Harriett Kathryn Fanto, 80, of Rawlings, Md., passed away Tuesday, July 29, 2025, at Devlin Manor Nursing and Rehab.

Born March 31, 1945, in Frostburg, Md., she was the daughter of the late James and Alice "Faye" Holsinger. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John R. Fanto; two brothers, Charles Holsinger and Bousson Holsinger; and a sister, Leona Porter.

She is survived by her son, Jeff Emmart and wife Cheryl; grandchildren, Jessica McLaughlin and husband Brad, Crystal Thomas and husband Frank, Nicholas Emmart and wife Monica; great-grandchildren, Jack and Landon Thomas, Colton Emmart, and Carter McLaughlin; and her beloved cat, Georgie Girl.

Harriett was a hairdresser at Classic Hair in LaVale, Md. for over 30 years. She loved her plants, cats, and grandchildren.

Visitation will be Monday, August 4, from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m., at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., 15205 McMullen Hwy SW, Cresaptown. A funeral service will immediately follow at 12 p.m. with Pastor George Harpold officiating.

Interment will be in MD State Veteran's Cemetery, Rocky Gap.
