Hazel Elizabeth Eagan Obituary

Midland, Maryland - Hazel Elizabeth Eagan, 91, of Midland, went to be with Our Lord on Thursday, Feb. 15, 2024, at the Goodwill Nursing Home.

Hazel was born on Aug. 11, 1932, in Frostburg, to Harry Edward and Kathryn (House) Deal. She is preceded in death by husbands, William Schiver and Charles G. Eagan, Sr.; daughter, Michelle Schiver; sons, Charles G. Eagan Jr., John G. Eagan; and brother, Charles "Buddy" Deal.

Hazel was very active in the communities in which she lived. She had a degree in Human Services and worked as an Addiction Counselor for Sacred Heart Hospital. She was a member of Saint Michael's Catholic Church, the Sodality and the Catholic Daughters. She was also a member of Saint Joseph's Catholic Church.

She is survived by daughters, Eileen Morgan, Beverly Schiver, and Julia Cramer and her husband, Randy; 12 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Also, surviving are sisters, Betty Keyes, Nancy Lewis, and Patricia Marosek.

Friends will be received at the Sowers Funeral Home on Tuesday, from 6 to 8 p.m.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, at 10 a.m., at the Divine Mercy Parish at Saint Michael's Catholic Church, with Father Ed Hendricks as celebrant.

Interment will be in Maryland State Veterans Cemetery at Rocky Gap.
