Oakland, MD - OAKLAND [mdash] Jada S. Shipley, 21, of Oakland, formerly of Hyndman, passed away from cancer on June 22, 2026.

Born Aug. 13, 2004, to Walter Shipley and Michelle Mason. She is preceded in death by her mother, Michelle Mason; grandmother, Anna Marie Mason; special friend, John Schletzer.

She is survived by her great grandmother, Mary Jo Shue ; great uncle, Larry (Teresa) Shue; uncle, Dennis (Nicole) Mason Jr. and family; foster parents, Bobby and Missy Deneen; foster siblings, Bobby III, Chad, Keith, Josie, Jessica; boyfriend, Jacob Walter, and family, Jennifer, Madison, and Isaac; special friends, Stephene (Jamie) Heiple, Amy Ortega, Marianne Schletzer, Lindsay, Alyssa, Kimmy, and Kaitlin 446.

Jada was a strong, independent woman who had a great love for animals and was studying to become a veterinary tech.

Jada also loved the Baltimore Ravens Football team and the color purple.

She was a very strong person who battled until the end. Everyone she contacted knew how strong of a person she was. She will be sadly missed by all.

There will be a memorial service held on Aug. 14, 2026, with a gathering time from 11 a.m. until service time at 1 p.m., at the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home, 169 Clarence Street, Hyndman PA 15545. The interment will be held at the Hyndman Cemetery in Hyndman, PA.
