SOMERSET, Pa. - James Robert Aldridge Sr., 81, of Somerset, died March 11, 2020, at UPMC Somerset.
Born May 5, 1938, in Frostburg, son of the late Mary Edna (Mock) Aldridge Hogamier. Also preceded in death by wife, the former Emily Jane (Hoover) McKenzie Aldridge.
Survived by stepdaughter, Debbie (Harmon) Custer, Berlin; and step-grandchildren, Rachel Custer and David (Kayla) Custer.
He was a Vietnam War Navy veteran, retiring after 22 years of service. He also retired from the State of Maryland Dept. of Transportation. Member of Laurel Hill Gospel Tabernacle, F.O.E. Aerie 1801, Somerset, and the Somerset American Legion.
Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., Sunday, at Deaner Funeral Home, Berlin, where service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday with Pastor Gary Anderson officiating.
Interment Comp Cemetery, Hyndman. Military honors at the funeral home provided by the Somerset Co. Honor Guard.
