James Dale Clise, 90, of Westminster, died peacefully in the early morning of Sept. 30, 2017, at Lorien Taneytown.

Born in Piedmont, W.Va., on March 7, 1927, he was the son of the late James Upton and Elsie Christina (Ours) Clise. He was predeceased by Jean Borror Clise, his wife of 59 years, who died in 2004.

He is survived by brother, Donald Clise of Romney, W.Va.; daughter, Jennifer Munch of Westminster; daughters and sons-in law, Veronica "Ronnie" (Larry) Bohn of Woodbine, and Sarah (Rick) Sampson of Rancho Santa Margarita, Calif.; son, Dr. Keith Clise of Commerce City, Colo.; son and daughter-in-law, Christopher (Andie) Clise of Westminster; grandson and wife, Matthew Clise and Kirstin Bowers of Westminster; grandson, Griffin Snyder of California; granddaughters, Nicole Holly of Utah, Alyssa Clise and Olivia Clise of Colorado, Logan Snyder of California, and Alix Clise of Westminster; two great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and his faithful Yorkie "Buddy."

Services and interment will be held privately in Headsville, W.Va.
