Jane Blair Kroll, 85, of Fort Ashby, W.Va., died Sunday, Dec. 31, 2023, at UPMC-Western Maryland, Cumberland. Born on Dec. 18, 1938, she was the daughter of the late John and Virginia Blair.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jack Kroll, on May 2, 2015; and two brothers, Richard and Stuart Blair.

Jane was a graduate of Beall High School, Frostburg. She continued her education at Frostburg State Teachers College, where she earned her master's in education. She taught briefly before having her first son. She then continued as a stay at home mom, raising her three children. She was a member of Bethel Holiness Church, Lonaconing. Her faith was strong and she was a prayer warrior. She was loving and so kind and had the most positive outlook on life. She loved talking about Jesus, she was truly a blessing to others. Her family was the center of her world and spending time with them was her greatest joy.

Jane is survived by her children, Eric Kroll and wife, Clarisa of Orlando, Fla., Steven Kroll of Fort Ashby, W.Va., and Beth Gobbell of Jackson, Tenn.; two grandchildren, Shannon Kroll of Orlando, Fla. and Lauren Hogue of Navarre, Fla.; two great-grandchildren, Ava Hogue and Gage Hogue of Navarre, Fla.; three brothers, Wray Blair of Frostburg, Don Blair of Frostburg, and John Blair of South Carolina; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, Jan. 5, 2023, at 1 p.m., at Bethel Holiness Church, Lonaconing, with Pastor David Schoch officiating. Family and friends will be received at the church one hour prior to the service, from 12 to 1 p.m.

Interment will be held at Frostburg Memorial Park, Frostburg.
