Jason Arnold Lease, 39, of Barton, passed away on Friday, Oct. 4, 2024. Born on Sept. 4, 1985, in Cumberland, he was the son of John Thomas Lease III and Karen Jacobs.

He was preceded in death by his father, John Thomas Lease III; and grandparents, John Lease II and Helen Sniencski.

Jason was a 2003 graduate of Westmar High School, Lonaconing. He worked for Frostburg State University in the dining department. As an avid hunter and fisherman, he loved the outdoors, riding four wheelers and camping. He attended Living Waters Church, Lonaconing.

He is survived by his mother, Karen Jacobs (Randy); three siblings, Ashley Garlitz (Tony Jr.), Steven Thomas II, and Natasha Thomas; two nephews, Sean Smith and Edward Gomer; grandparents, Donna Zirk and Arnold Zirk (Linda); uncles, Jeff Zirk (Karen), Jim Lease (Regina), Jeff Lease (Kathy) and Chuck Sniencski (Christina); aunts, Jennifer Zirk and Debbie Guinn (Johnny); and numerous cousins.

He is also survived by childhood friends that were like brothers to him, Robbie Evans, Eric Russell, Robbie Hershberger, and David Broy.

Friends and family will be received on Thursday, Oct. 10, 2024, from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 7 to 9 p.m., at Wilhelm-Eakin Funeral Home, P.A., Lonaconing. A funeral service will be held on Friday, Oct. 11, 2024, at 11 a.m., with Pastor Christian Wright officiating. Interment will be held at Laurel Hill Cemetery, Moscow Mills.

Pallbearers will be: Robbie Hershberger, Robbie Evans, Jeff Zirk, Steven Thomas, Sean Smith, and Edward Gomer.
