Cumberland, MD - Jean Fay Morgan, 90, of Cumberland, died Thursday, Sept. 18, 2025, at the Lions Rehab Center.

Born Sept. 30, 1934, in Cumberland, she was the daughter of the late Theodore and Catherine (McGregor) Haenftling.

She was also preceded in death by her beloved husband, John Preston Morgan; her brother, Paul Haenftling; and her sister, Anna May Floyd.

Jean was a graduate of Allegany High School.

She was retired from the Allegany County Board of Education, having been a cafeteria manager at West Side Elementary School.

She enjoyed crafting, doing ceramics and collecting coins.

Survivors include her children, J.P. Morgan and wife Carol, Valerie "Lynn" Morgan, Jeff Morgan and wife Debbie, Kevin Morgan, and Eric Morgan and wife Paula; grandchildren, Adam Morgan, Derrick Morgan, Cory Morgan, Kyler Leonard, Kent Philbin, Kaye Philbin, Shelley Jenkins, Brittany Sharon, Cortlyn White, Abbie Morgan and Neal Morgan; and 13 great-grandchildren.

A committal service will be held in the chapel at Rocky Gap Veterans Cemetery on Friday, Oct. 3, 2025, at noon, where inurnment will follow.
