Frostburg, MD - Joan M. Harrison, 91, of Frostburg, passed away on Friday, Jan. 9, 2026, at Mountain City Rehab Center.
Born May 8, 1934, to the late James A. Wilhelm and Mildred (Diebler) Wilhelm. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband; and sisters, Jean Felker and Eileen Edwards.
Joan was a graduate of Beall High School and was employed at Flushing Shirt Factory. Joan was a dedicated mother to her three boys. She enjoyed bingo, square dancing and playing cards with her twin sister Jean. Joan loved music, from listening to dancing and singing. She spent many days at the park with her granddaughters.
She is survived by three sons, Wayne and girlfriend Sandy, Mike and daughter-in law Cindy, Eric and daughter-in-law Jennifer; four grandchildren, Matthew, Mickalea, Katelyn and Emily; three great-grandchildren, Addyson, Maverick and Parker; one brother, Darrell Wilhelm and sister-in-law Linda; three sisters, Audrey Holler and brother-in-law Charles, Ruth Wilhelm, Gail Day and brother-in-law Charles.
We would like to express our gratitude to Joan's niece, Pam, who always took special care of Joan, and the staff at Mountain City Rehab Center for taking such great care of our mom.
Joan was cremated in accordance with her wishes. A memorial will be held at Durst Funeral Home on May 9, 2026, with visitation from 10 to 11 a.m. and service at 11 a.m. There will be a lunch to follow at Cresaptown Eagles.
