Jody Ray Diest, 57, Berlin, Pa., died Tuesday, March 5, 2019, at UPMC Somerset.
Born Oct. 9, 1961, in Meyersdale, Pa., he was the son of the late Harry E. "Pepper" and Helen M. (Engle) Diest. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Craig Rodney Deist.
He is survived by his mother; numerous cousins; and several aunts and uncles.
He was a 1979 graduate of Blairsville High School. For many years, he was employed in the restaurant business. He attended Trinity United Church of Christ, Berlin. Jody enjoyed martial arts and riding his motorcycle.
Family will receive friends at Deaner Funeral Home, Berlin, Friday, March 8, 2019, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m.
Services will be held at funeral home Saturday, March 9, at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Dr. David Williams officiating.
Interment will be in Berlin IOOF Cemetery.
