John Francis Blubaugh Obituary

John Francis Blubaugh, 89, died Sunday, Sept. 29, 2024, at Goodwill Retirement Community, Grantsville. He was the son of the late Jacob Blubaugh and Sarah (Fazenbaker) Blubaugh.

He was preceded in death by wife, Carol (Crawford) Blubaugh in 1996 and nine siblings, Irvin Blubaugh, Helen Blubaugh, Sarah Kelley, Nettie Wilson, Agnes Blubaugh, James Blubaugh, Mary Jane McKenzie, Betty Poling and Raymond Blubaugh.

John retired as a laborer with the Local 616 Union. He enjoyed farming, running the tractors and spending time with family. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.

He is survived by two siblings, a brother, William Blubaugh and wife Pat; and a sister, Ruth Beeman; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will be received on Friday, Oct. 4, 2024, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., at Wilhelm-Eakin Funeral Home, P.A., Lonaconing. A funeral service will immediately follow at 1 p.m., with Pastor Jim Jeffries officiating. Interment will be held at Beeman Cemetery, Lonaconing.
