John Lawrence Taylor Jr., 91, of Cumberland, passed away, Wednesday, Oct. 9, 2019, at the Village at Robinwood.
Born Monday, July 16, 1928, in Cumberland, he was the son of the late John Lawrence Taylor Sr. and the late Bernice Shircliffe Taylor.
John was a veteran with the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict. He graduated, in 1946, from Allegany High School and attended Potomac State College in Keyser, W.Va.
He retired from Fairchild Aircraft, Inc., after 25 years. He was a member of the Morris Frock American Legion Post 42.
John was a nature enthusiast and was a member of many wildlife organizations.
He is survived by his many cousins, the Shircliffe, Conley and Rowley families.
He was preceded in death by his brother, William Matthew Taylor.
Interment will be at the Maryland State Veterans Cemetary at Rocky Gap, Flintstone, at the convenience of the family.
