Lonaconing, MD - John Wilson, Jr., 89, passed away on Tuesday, April 29, 2025 at UPMC Western Maryland.

Born in Gilmore on June 22, 1935, he was the son of John Wilson, Sr. and Nan (Rennie) Wilson. He is also preceded in death by his sister, Shelva Kiddy, grandson, Noah and great- granddaughter, Paisley.

He retired from PPG after 25 years. He then managed the Kings Arms Motel in Ocean City, MD for many years. John and Carole enjoyed many beach days and talking to the guests of the motel. He also had his own TV repair service, John's TV Sales & Repair.

He is survived by the love of his life for 68 years (March 9, 1957) wife, Carole (Cutter) Wilson; children, Linda Deshong (Terry), John Gregory Wilson (Marsha), Doug Wilson, Ronnie Wilson (Juanita), and Diane Cantine (Earl); grandchildren, Jason Deshong (Christy), Erica Lindner (Jimmy), Tanner Deshong, Wesley Rogers (Jawna), John Wilson, Ronnie Wilson, and Anne Wilson. Also, eight great-grandchildren.

Family and friends will be received at the First United Methodist Church, 15 Church Street, Lonaconing, MD on Friday, May 2, from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. with a funeral service following at 12 p.m. with Pastor Marjorie Hurder-Buhrman officiating.
