Cumberland, MD - Johnie Olin McCoy, Jr., 67, of Cumberland, Md. passed away July 9, 2025 at his home.

Born November 4, 1957 in Cumberland, he was the son of the late Johnie Olin McCoy, Sr. and Thelma E. (McKenzie) Iser. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his son, Jesse Olin McCoy; his niece, Jackie Marie Walters; and stepfather, Jim Iser.

Johnie graduated from Oldtown High School in 1975. He then served his country in the U.S. Air Force; followed by serving his community as a deputy with the Allegany County Sheriff's Department.

He loved spending time outdoors, hunting, fishing, and riding his Harley. Above all else Johnie was deeply devoted to his granddaughter Jillian.

Surviving is his step-mother, Betty McCoy; two brothers, Clifton McCoy and Michael McCoy and wife Karen; granddaughter, Jillian McCoy; one niece; one nephew; close friends, Bonnie and Jeff Clark; and his extended family and many friends.

In accordance with his wishes he will be cremated and a private remembrance service will be held soon.
