Joyce E. Blackburn, 72, of Lonaconing, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, Nov. 26, 2023. She was loved by all who knew her beautiful soul and caring heart of gold. She loved to laugh and dance. She loved people and never met a stranger. She loved her family with all her heart.
Born Nov. 29, 1951, she was the daughter of the late John A. Timney and Ruth E (Gentry) Timney. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Anna Lee Thomas; two nephews, Scott and Randy Thomas; and special friends, Ruth and Bud Wilson.
She leaves behind her daughter, Beth Warren, and Fiance, Daron Price; Four Grandsons that she adored, Dane Blackburn and wife, Mandy, Dilan Warnick and Angelia Taylor, Keith Warnick and Reagan Winter and Jack Warren, III, and Emily Norment; Great-Grandchildren, Liam, Lily, Layla, Lacey, and Laney Blackburn, Jacky, Colton, and Bowie Warren, Charlee and Kali Warnick, Lyla Fazenbaker, Kian Broadwater, and Finn Taylor, whom she loved as her own; One Sister, Donna J Phillips husband, Mac; and one brother, John Timney, and wife, Shirley; Three Nieces, Mysty Sloan, Kelli Reed, and Andee Wilson; Four Nephews, Perry Thomas, Chris, and Brian Phillips, and Danny Timney; As well as her long-time boyfriend, Rob Matthews; and grandson, Korey Wilson.
She worked at Sears for 31 years and at Egle Nursing Home until she retired. After retirement, she spent her days with her favorite person in the whole world, her great-granddaughter, Charlee Rose.
Her final request was to give one last gift of donating her body to science for research to help others with the knowledge they gain from her. Once her ashes are returned, a Memorial Service will be announced for anyone who would like to join the Celebration of her Life.
Special thanks to the wonderful Doctors and Nurses at UPMC ICU unit who cared for her and Chaplain Rusty Kitzmiller, who gave more comfort than he could possibly know.
