Judith Ann Bowers, 80, of Waynesboro, PA, passed away, Friday, April 5, 2019, at her home.
Born in July of 1938 in McCoole, MD, she was the daughter of the late John David Gatrell and the late Maxine Liberty (Sager) Gatrell.
Judy graduated from Valley High School in Lonaconing, MD. She was employed with Hershey Ice Cream retiring after many years. Judy dearly loved her family and enjoyed cooking and baking for everyone which brought her family together.
She is survived by her husband Paul Russel Bowers; two sons, Brion (Linda) Bowers of Waynesboro, PA, Jeff (Bev) Bowers of Hagerstown, MD; brothers, Sam (Pat) Turnbull of Hagerstown, MD and David (Linda) Turnbull of Williamsport, MD, two sisters, Linda Tansill of Frostburg, MD and Cherri (Randy) Banks of Hagerstown, MD. Numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her daughter Beth Jule Bowers and step father,William Turnbull.
Services will be held privately with the family.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association of Western Maryland, 108 Byte Dr. Suite 103, Frederick, MD, 21702.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Douglas A. Fiery Funeral Home, 1331 Eastern Blvd. North, Hagerstown, MD.
