Mount Joy, PA - Julie Melissa Miller, 51, of Mount Joy, Pa., met her savior Jesus Christ on Friday, May 8, 2026, while surrounded by her children and husband at Lancaster General Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer.

Born in Cumberland, Md., she was the daughter of Robert and Carolyn (Robinette) Robertson, of LaVale, Md. Julie was the wife of Christopher Miller, with whom she would have celebrated 29 years of marriage in August.

Julie graduated as valedictorian of Calvary Christian Academy, Class of 1993. She later received her bachelor's degree from Frostburg State University and her master's degree from Eastern Mennonite University. Julie was currently a fourth-grade teacher at Donegal Intermediate School.

Surviving, in addition to her husband Chris, are four children, Grace (Miller) Good, wife of Christian Good; Lydia Miller, fiancée of Grant Fry; Emma Miller, fiancée of Elijah Miller; and Christian Miller, of Mount Joy.

Also surviving is a sister, Geneen Sivic, wife of Timothy Sivic, of Lavale, Md., and daughter-in-law of Richard and Ann (Nissley) Miller, of Mount Joy.

A funeral service honoring Julie's life will be held at Community Bible Church, 331 Anderson Ferry Road, Marietta, PA 17547, on Sunday, May 17, 2026, at 4 p.m.

Family and friends will be received at the Sheetz Funeral Home Inc., 16 E. Main St., Mount Joy, PA 17552, on Saturday, May 16, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and on Sunday at the church from 3 to 4 p.m.

Interment will be private at Erisman Mennonite Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to RAISE28, 105 Fairview St., Mount Joy, PA 17552.
