Little Orleans, Maryland - June Roselee Smith, 84, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 8, 2023, at her home, in Little Orleans.

Born June 10, 1939, and raised in Little Orleans, Mrs. Smith was the daughter, and last surviving child, of the late John and Emmie Cornwell. She was the wife, of 69 years, of Theodore Ray Smith, who she married on June 30, 1954.

June was employed with the Department of Health and Hygiene for 30 years. She enjoyed the outdoors and loved to camp, garden, and flowers. She enjoyed cooking and so many were recipients of her delicious fixings. Most of all, she loved her family and spending time with them.

June is survived by five daughters, Rita, married to Kenneth Smoot, Janet, married to Ed Edmonds, Donna, married to Clarence Smith, Karen, married to Jay Martin, and Sharon, married to Jimmy DeJordy; nine grandchildren, Amanda, married to Justin, Lori, married to Dustin, Jennifer, married to Luke, Robbie, Christopher, married to Chrissy, Kenny, and fiancé, Samantha, Darryl, Emmie, and Angela; fifteen great-grandchildren, Bridget, Faith, Tyler, Paige, Colton, Kimberly, Madeline, Bradley, Natalie, Kaitlyn, Lincoln, Mädchen, Jacobi, Izabelle, and Indigo; one step-granddaughter, Amanda; and five step-great-grandchildren, Brooke, Lane, Boone, Harper, Brynlea.

In addition to her parents, June was preceded in death by one grandson, Brian; one great-granddaughter, Natalee Rose; her brothers, Rodger, George, John, Lucian, Richard and Easton; and her sisters, Sarah, Edith and Barbara.

The family will receive friends on Friday, Aug. 11, 2023, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.,

at Grove Funeral Home, 141 West Main Street, Hancock, followed by funeral services, at 12 p.m.; Pastor Tom Mowry will officiate. Burial will follow services, at Fairview Cemetery, 1751 Crooked Run Rd., Artemas, Pa.
