Cumberland, Maryland - Karen Ann (Bittner) Crosten, 66, of Cumberland, Md., passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, August 16, 2025.

Born October 12, 1958 in Cumberland, Md., Ms. Crosten was the daughter of the late Jane (Farrell) Gurtler and Robert Bittner. She was also preceded in death by her life partner, David Shriver; her brothers, Curtis Bittner, Gene Bittner, and John Clair; her sister, Terry Clair; and her brothers-in-law, James Chambers and John "Junior" Eversole.

Karen is survived by her children, Joshua Bittner, Jeremy Crosten, and Jessica Marie Metty; her grandchildren, Katelyn Marie Metty, Mikey Metty and wife Kat; Blake Metty, and Zane Crosten; and her great-granddaughter:, Kinzlee Marie Metty. She is also survived by her sisters, Marlene Eversole, Edna Robertson and husband Steven; Melody Chambers; and Kim Clair and husband Dave Bennett; her brother, Roy Bittner; as well as numerous nieces and nephews; and her best friend Charlie Bear.

Per her request, she will be cremated and a graveside service will be conducted at St. Mary's Cemetery on Friday, August 29, 2025 at 1 p.m., with Father Mark Carter O.F.M Cap officiating.
