I loved working with Kathy several years ago in a middle school special education classroom. She was so good with the students. We would sing together and play bingo. I'll always remember when she tried to slow down a student swinging dangerously in the room. The student kicked her so hard she flew backwards off her feet. Fortunately she was unhurt (except for her dignity). She didn't realize she had screamed as she went down, and we had a good chuckle when I told her! She was a joy to work with and we kept in touch. My life was made richer knowing Kathy. I'll really miss her.

Kathy was one of the most loved teacher I've known. Her dedication and concern for her students was exemplary. I have many wonderful memories of our time together working and traveling to St. Peter School. She was one of those rare friends who being apart from never changed the relationship...we just picked up where we had left off. I will really miss her and never forget her.

I had the pleasure to know and work with Kathy as fellow principals. We shared many rides to and from our administrative meetings in Baltimore, and shared school stories and laughter as we drove. We also traveled to Russia for a wonderful cultural experience. Kathy was a true and gentle friend and the world is a better place because she was part of it. My thoughts go out to Monica. Each time Kathy and I met, she would share a loving story to keep me up on what Monica was doing and how proud she and Rick were about their daughter. Kathy was an inspiration as an educator and friend.
