Accident, Maryland - ACCIDENT [mdash] Kay Frances Hockman, 76, of Accident, died Sunday, Jan. 18, 2026, at her residence.
Born March 3, 1949, in Meyersdale, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late Blaine and Cora (Walls) Wiley. She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Patricia Nelson and Dorothy Baker.
Kay was a flap runner at Fechheimer Shirt Factory and a homemaker. She was an avid reader, crafter, and loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, Ronald R. Hockman Sr.; one son, Ronald "Bonkey" Hockman Jr.; two daughters, Sherri (Bill) Bonney and Terri (Keith) Collette; two brothers, Lewis Wiley and Chuck (Terri) Wiley; three sisters, Shirley (George) Lapp, Rita (Keith) Garlitz, and Connie (Larry) Savage; three grandchildren, Sarah (Anthony) Cervi, Hallie (Anthony) Isom-Fuller, and Hunter Hockman; and two great-grandchildren, Eli and Evie Cervi.
Friends will be received at the Newman Funeral Homes, P.A., 179 Miller St., Grantsville, MD, on Wednesday, Jan. 21, 2025, from 10 to 11 a.m. Funeral services will follow in the funeral home at 11 a.m. Burial will take place in the St. John's Lutheran Cemetery, Accident.
