Sykesville, MD - Lacy Edmondson unexpectedly passed away in her home on Wednesday, Feb. 18, 2026, at the age of 21.
She grew up in Eldersburg and spent some years living in a few other cities before returning to her hometown in 2025.
She was born on June 15, 2004. She is survived by her parents, Nicholas Edmondson (Melody) and Elizabeth Sponaugle (Stuart); her siblings, Leah (Steven Simmens), Laney, William and Julianne; her grandparents, Lee and Rose Edmondson, and Bob and Linda Charlton. She also leaves behind many aunts, uncles and cousins, as well as many loving friends and her beloved Dogwood tree, "Gloria."
Lacy was preceded in death by her grandmother, Janet Colvin.
Lacy graduated from South Carroll High School in 2022 with the goal of living life to the fullest. She was a wonderful artist who liked to express herself through painting and makeup, always brightening the room with her style and vibrant hair. Lacy had a one-of-a-kind personality with a flare of sassiness; she was always making people laugh. She stood up for what she believed in and wasn't afraid to share what was on her mind.
She could often be found talking on the phone with her favorite people, shopping, listening to music and pampering herself. She loved her job at Wawa and enjoyed talking about her coworkers and the people she'd meet at work.
Lacy touched many lives during her time on Earth, and will be remembered by them all. For now, Lacy's family will be grieving privately, but plan to open an invitation to a celebration of life at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Johns Hopkins Epilepsy research or an epilepsy foundation of your choice.
