Douglassville, PA - Lee Anna (McGann) Gaughan, 87, of Douglassville, Pa., passed away on Saturday, June 21, 2025, at the Reading Hospital. Born in Mount Savage, Md., she was the daughter of the late George D. McGann and the late Dorcas (Lashley) McGann. During her lifetime she was a nurturing, loving wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, and teacher. She was the widow of Paul R. Gaughan for 51 years and was his caregiver for many years before he died.
Lee Anna was an elementary schoolteacher of 36 years for Daniel Boone School District. She often spent her own money on supplies to provide for her kids in the classroom. She loved reading, crafting, and watching the Phillies & Eagles. She was a church member of the Immaculate Conception BVM RCC.
Surviving Lee Anna is 1 son, Kevin D. Gaughan, husband of Marcella of Lagrangeville, N.Y.; 1 daughter, Bridget Ann Gaughan, significant other Jeff Grainger; 2 brothers, Gregory & Gerard; and 4 grandchildren, Ryan Thomas, Wesley Quinn, Skyler J. and Julia Marie.
Lee Anna was predeceased by her sister, Mary Agnes Garmer.
Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
