Cumberland, Maryland - Leslie Anne (Darrell) Cross, 83, of Cumberland, Md., passed away peacefully on July 29, 2026, at the age of 83 surrounded by her loving family.

Leslie was born on June 27, 1943, in Weymouth, Massachusetts. She was the cherished daughter of Gerald E. Darrell and Katherine M. Darrell. Leslie grew up in Weymouth, Massachusetts, and later graduated from Weymouth High School in 1961. She married her beloved husband, Leroy Cross, on June 30, 1962, in Weymouth. Together they shared 55 wonderful years.

Leslie dedicated much of her life to raising her children. Her family was her deepest passion. She was deeply loved by her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren, as she showed them unconditional love and acceptance. She retired from Sears after 16 years of service. She was a member of Elliott Memorial UMC and Centenary UMC where she cherished her church family. She spent many years teaching Sunday School, Bible School and was a part of the United Methodist Women's Group. She was a member of the Union Grove Campground Meeting Association. She enjoyed sewing, painting, and gardening and was a member of the Cumberland Garden Club.

Leslie is survived by her children, Kimberly Miller (Jeff), Chip Cross (Trina), Keri DiNicola (Joe), and Rob Cross (Charity); her grandchildren, Kyli Simpson, Brittani Dilliard, Megan Cross, Kate Shook, Tyler Kesecker, Tim Cross, Chloe Middleton, Lauren Heavner and Garrett Bird; great grandchildren, Kinzie Hodel, Kerrigan Hodel, Kaisen Hodel, Emma Simpson, Cooper Shook, Krew Shook, Canaan Middleton, Carsen Middleton, Collins Middleton, Knox Heavner and Georgia Heavner; her siblings, brother, Gerald Darrell and sister, Judy Milian (Tony).

Visitation will be held at Adams Family Funeral Home, P.A., 404 Decatur Street, Cumberland, MD (www.adamsfamilyfuneralhome.com) on Sunday, August 2, 2026 from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

A Celebration of Life service will be conducted at the funeral home on Monday, August 3, 2026 at 12:00 P.M. with Pastor Dan Twigg and Pastor Mary George officiating. Friends and family will also be received one hour prior to the service.

Interment will be at Sunset Memorial Park.

Leslie's love, kindness and generous heart will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her family finds comfort knowing that she is in the arms of Jesus.
