Lonaconing, MD - LONACONING [mdash] Linda Lee DeShong, 66, of Bucks Hill, Lonaconing, died Monday, Dec. 1, 2025, with her family at her side. Born on Sept. 3, 1959, in Frostburg, she was the daughter of Carole (Cutter) Wilson and the late John Wilson Jr.

Along with her father, John, she was also preceded in death by a granddaughter, Paisley Lindner; and a nephew, Noah Cantine.

Linda was a graduate of Valley High School, Class of 1977. She had worked as a waitress at Marshall's Confectionary, Lonaconing, and for the Board of Education in the cafeteria. She enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family, especially her grandbabies. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Barton. She was also a member of the Sorority Sisters and VHS Class of '77.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 48 years, Terry DeShong; three children, Jason DeShong and wife Christy, Erica Lindner and husband Jimmy, and Tanner DeShong and Chauntay; five grandchildren, Masen, Norah, Alex, Luke and Anna; a sister, Diane Cantine and husband Earl; three brothers, Greg Wilson and wife Melissa, Ronnie Wilson and Juanita and Doug Wilson; numerous nieces and nephews; and special great-nieces and nephew, Brenan, Kaitlin and Aubri.

Family and friends will be received on Saturday, Dec. 6, 2025, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Wilhelm-Eakin Funeral Home, P.A., Lonaconing. A funeral service will immediately follow, with the Rev. Bernadette Ross and the Rev. Thomas Morgan officiating.
