Linda Lee Tewalt, 79, of Hagerstown, went to be with her Lord on Feb. 22, 2024.

Linda was born in Hagerstown, and was the daughter of the late Robert Franklin and Mary Elizabeth (Bagent) Tewalt. She was also the sister of Mary Patsy "Pat" Tewalt, who preceded her in death on Feb. 26, 2011. She is survived by cousins and friends.

She attended Howard Street Elementary School, South Potomac Junior High School, and she graduated in 1962 from South Hagerstown High School. She also completed numerous classes at Hagerstown Community College.

During her 47-year career, she was employed by Pangborn Corp., Main Lafrentz & Co, CPAs, Washington County Hospital, and Western Maryland Center, all of Hagerstown. Also, she worked at North Branch Correctional Institutions in Cumberland, retiring in 2009 as Chief Procurement Officer.

She was a former member of Grace Brethren Church and of Valley Grace Brethren Church. Also a member of AARP and Beta Sigma Phi.

Linda supported many faith-based ministries that were close to her heart. She enjoyed classic movies, watching nature, Christian television, drawing, and word search.

Funeral arrangements are being handled by Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown.

It was Linda's wish that she be cremated. There will be no services.

Internment will be in Rose Hill Cemetery near her mother and sister and will be private.

Flowers should be omitted, and memorial donations made to Doey's House, 11370 Caring Pathway Lane, Hagerstown, MD 21742.
