Cumberland, MD - Linda Kay (Snyder) Giles, 74, of Cumberland, passed away on Oct. 13, 2025, at UPMC Western Maryland.

Born Oct. 2, 1951, in Cumberland, Md., she was the daughter of the late Edward James and Meriam (Wilhelm) Snyder. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Rose Mulligan, Judith Wilson and Dolores Jane Welsh.

Linda was a devoted mother and homemaker. She also enjoyed her work outside of the home, particularly at Gabriel Bros. for many years, and then retired from Devlin Manor Nursing Home, where she worked as a dietary aide. She also was a devoted caregiver to her many rescued cats.

Linda is survived by her one son, Brian Giles; former husband/lifetime partner, Donald Giles; one brother, James Snyder; and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at Restlawn Memorial Gardens, 11128 Cash Valley Road NW, LaVale, MD, on Friday, Oct. 17, 2025, beginning at 10 a.m., with Michael Mudge officiating.
