Flintstone, Maryland - Mabel Louise Bible, 94, of Flintstone, Md., passed away on Friday, March 27, 2026, at Peace Health Care. She was born Sept. 25, 1931, in Clearville, Pa.

Mabel was the daughter of the late Wilbur Lamont Cessna and Ethel June (O'Neal) Cessna. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Merle Bible; her brothers, David, Carl, Clifford, Wilbur Jr. and Dennis; and her sister, Betty Cessna-Shriver.

A homemaker, Mabel was a graduate of Flintstone High School and was a member of Flintstone United Methodist Church.

Mabel is survived by her daughter, Shirley Woods and her husband Don Woods; her son, Rodney Bible; her brother, Donald Cessna; her sister, Dorothy Cessna-Yokum; her sisters-in-law, Judy and Midge Cessna; her grandchildren; her great-grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Friends will be received at Adams Family Funeral Home, P.A., 404 Decatur St., Cumberland, MD, www.adamsfamilyfuneralhome.com, on Wednesday, April 1, 2026, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. A funeral service will begin at 1 p.m., with Pastor Teresa Adams officiating.

Interment will be in Glendale Cemetery.
