Ridgeley, WV - Margaret Ann McNeill, 91, of Furnace Acres, died April 19, 2025, at home.

Born Feb. 18, 1934, in Cumberland, she was the daughter of the late William Harold Walton and Ruth Elder (Pitzer) Walton.

She was also preceded in death by her husband, James McNeill; and siblings, William H. Walton, Jr., James P. Walton, Ruth Hardman, and Mary Jane Stemple.

Margaret was a graduate of Allegany High School.

She retired from Sell and Company, having been a secretary.

Margaret belonged to Cornerstone Baptist Church and also attended Springfield Assembly of God.

Wonderful memories were made when she prepared BIG family dinners, going to camp, and attending the grandkids' activities. She liked WVU basketball. Margaret took pleasure in sitting on her back porch and enjoying her flowers.

Survivors include her children, Ricky J. McNeill and wife Pam, and Sharon M. Gray and husband, Roy; grandchildren, Megan E. Blacka and husband Joseph, Kelsey N. Coleman and husband Daniel, and Joshua J. McNeill and wife Breauna; great-grandchildren, Logan and Tucker Blacka, Evan Coleman, and Easton McNeill; and, her cat companion, Christy Lou.

Friends will be received at the Upchurch Funeral Home, P.A., Cumberland, on Thursday, from 5 to 7 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Friday at 1 p.m., with Pastor Josh Miller, officiating.

Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Park.
