Marie  Kifer
ELK GARDEN, W.Va. - Marie Kifer, 92, of Arnold Mine Road, Elk Garden, died Thursday, Sept. 19, 2019 at the Western Maryland Regional Medical Center, Cumberland.
Born on April 17, 1927, at Bismarck, she was a daughter of the late George and Bertha (Taylor) Cosner. She also was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Kifer Jr. on April 24, 2009; three brothers, Adolph, John and Floyd Cosner and four sisters, Flora Rinker, Provy Murphy, Ruth Hanlin and Corene Cosner. Mrs. Kifer was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Mrs. Kifer was formerly employed with the Keyser Garment Factory and was a member of the Mount Storm Presbyterian Church.
Surviving are her three sons, Ronald Kifer and wife, Velma of Elk Garden, Kevan Kifer and wife, Wanda of Mount Storm and Curtis Kifer and wife, Stacey of Gormania; five grandchildren, Amy Davis, Todd Kifer and wife, Abbie, Brian Kifer and wife, Missy, Jeremy Kifer and wife, Stephanie and Justin Kifer and wife, Jonnie and six great-grandchildren, Tyler and Grant Davis, and Katelyn, Addison, Christine and Alexandra Kifer.
Friends may call at the Smith Funeral Home, Keyser Chapel, on Monday, Sept. 23, 2019, from 4-8 p.m.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Smith Funeral Home, Keyser Chapel, on Tuesday, Sept. 24, 2019, at 11 a.m. with Pastor Donna Leatherman officiating.
Interment will be in the Locust Grove Cemetery, Bismarck.

I will miss her gentle touch. She always wanted a hug or to help her in her needs. I was just a visitor but we became friends. May God give you comfort & peace knowing she's resting now in his arms.
