Lakewood, WV - Marie D. Kroll, 87, of Lakewood, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 30, 2025, at her home.

Born on Feb. 4, 1938, Marie was the daughter of the late William and Irene (Holmes) Miller. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Earl Lee Kroll; her son, Matthew T. Kroll; sister, Betty (Miller) Geiger and husband Chuck Geiger; and her brothers, Bobby J. Miller, David Gene Miller, and William F. Miller.

Marie worked at Allegany Ballistics Laboratory until 1965, when she became a homemaker. She enjoyed being with her family and loved to eat out and shop.

Marie enjoyed floral design and had her own consignment shop in Martinsburg, W.Va., for five years. She also belonged to the Bel Air Garden Club, having a lifelong love of flowers.

Marie is survived by two daughters, Leann Frank and husband Dave, and Stacy Wolfe and husband Shannon; three grandchildren, Heather Frank of Somerville, Mass., Hunter Frank of Rawlings, Md., and Tyler Wolfe and wife Jackie, who are stationed in San Diego, Calif., with the U.S. Navy; and her great-granddaughter, Josephine Wolfe.

Friends will be received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., 15205 McMullen Highway, Cresaptown, MD, on Saturday, Oct. 4, 2025, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. A funeral service will immediately follow at 1 p.m., with the Rev. Patrick Buhrman officiating.

Interment will follow at Frostburg Memorial Park in Frostburg, Md.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be directed to Cresaptown United Methodist Church, 14805 McMullen Highway SW, Cumberland, MD, 21505, in honor of Marie D. Kroll.
