Lahmansville, WV - John Mark Hamilton, age 66, of Lahmansville, W.Va., passed away Monday evening, Feb. 23, 2026, at the Grant Rehabilitation and Care Center in Petersburg, W.Va. Born on April 9, 1959, in Cumberland, Md., he was the son of the late John M Hamilton and Dorothy Frances Porter Hamilton. His beloved wife, Dixie Kay Dixon Hamilton, preceded him in death in June 2014.

Mark was a proud graduate of Moorefield High School, Alderson-Broaddus College and West Virginia University. As the owner of Hamilton Physical Therapy in Moorefield for many years, he made a lasting impact on the lives of countless patients. His dedication to the community shone through not only in his therapy practice, but also as an EMT with Fraley Ambulance Service and the Elk District Ambulance. Always ready to lend a hand, Mark embodied the spirit of compassion and service.

Surviving are his sister, Susan J. (Dennis) Rogers of Lahmansville, W.Va.; and several nephews.

Mark's life will be celebrated with a funeral service on Saturday, Feb. 28, 2026, at 2 p.m. at the Fraley Funeral Home Chapel, located at 107 Washington St., Moorefield, W.Va. Pastor Rick Bergdoll will officiate the ceremony as family and friends gather to honor his extraordinary life. Prior to the service, loved ones are invited to join the family from noon until the time of the service to share stories and memories of Mark.

In lieu of flowers, friends and family may choose to direct memorials to a charity of their choice, reflecting Mark's generous spirit.
