Green Spring, WV - Mark Puffinburger, of Green Spring, W.Va., passed away March 14, 2026, surrounded by the memories and friendships that defined a life well lived. Known for his loyalty, humor and generous spirit, Mark touched the lives of many and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Mark was a proud and devoted fan of West Virginia football and basketball. He rarely missed the chance to cheer on his beloved Mountaineers. His enthusiasm for the team was matched only by his dedication to the fraternal organizations he cherished.

Mark was a member of Clinton Lodge #86, A.F. & A.M., Romney; Past Potentate ((2019) of Ali Ghan Shrine, where he was also a member of the Directors Staff; Past Director (2009) of Cumberland Court #117, Royal Order of Jesters. He formed countless lasting friendships and contributed greatly to the camaraderie and fellowship that meant so much to him.

Mark is survived by his loving aunts, Joyce Close, Susie Bosley, Sherry Peters and Darlene Fredman; uncle, James Freddy Fredman; as well as several cousins; and many dear friends.

He was preceded in death by his beloved "Nanny" Lena Puffinburger; his parents, Orville and Marlene Puffinburger; his aunt, "Pete" Arlene Peters; his uncles, Buck Peters and Walter "Junior" Puffinburger and wife Thelma.

Mark's legacy is one of brotherhood, loyalty, laughter and unwavering support for those he loved. His presence will be greatly missed, but his memory will continue to live on in the hearts of his family, friends and fellow brothers.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Springfield Assembly of God, 9367 Cumberland Road, Springfield, WV, on April 11, 2026, at noon. There will be a time of reflection at 11 a.m.
