Mark A. Zembower, 66, of Cumberland Valley, Pa., died Friday, Sept. 15, 2023, at his residence. He was born on June 11, 1957, in Youngstown, Ohio, a son of the late Willard "Max" Zembower and Gail (Kochendarfer) Datesman, surviving of Bedford.
On Dec. 4, 1990, in Winchester, Va., he married Linda (Hite) Zembower, who survives along with a stepson, Scott Sebolt, of Hyndman, Pa.; a step-grandson, Avery Sebolt; a sister, Lisa Henry and husband, Marty, of Bedford; a niece, Ashley Beegle; and two stepbrothers, Miles Datesman and wife, Laura, and their children, Sidney, and Addison, of Pittsburgh, Dan Datesman and wife, Tina, of Bedford; and a stepsister, Darcy Windows and husband, Kevin, and their children, Ben, and Joey.
He was preceded in death by a stepson, Pete Hite; and stepfather, the Reverend Ed Datesman.
Mark served in the Army for two years with the 101st Battalion, and then went into the Army National Guard Reserves. He worked with his dad at Max's Gulf, in Cumberland, as well as Bedford Ford, and Bedford Reinforced Plastics. Mark loved to listen to music, especially Bob Dylan and Led Zeppelin, and watching the Pittsburgh Steelers, and The Ohio State Football games.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
