MIDLAND [mdash] Mary Ann Schurg, 74, of Midland, died Wed., Jan. 3, 2024, at UPMC Shadyside, Pittsburgh. She was the daughter of the late William Festerman Jr. and Agnes C. (Klosterman) Festerman.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Carl Schurg Sr., and two sisters, Sharon and Jeanie Kay.
Mary Ann was a graduate of Beall High School and retired from Frostburg State University where she worked in the housekeeping department. She enjoyed reading and working in the yard
She loved dogs, and she always had treats handy when the neighborhood dogs would stop by.
She is survived by her step-son, Carl Schurg Jr., and wife, Terri, of New Market; grandchildren, Matthew Schurg and wife, Hayley; and Morgan Trumbule and husband, Jacob; five great-grandchildren, and her sister, Linda Craze.
She also leaves behind her best friend, Christine Moran, with whom she shared many weekly outings; and her Wilhelm kids on the hill, whom she loved dearly and by whom she will be greatly missed.
A private graveside service will be held at Frostburg Memorial Park. Mrs. Schurg is in the care of Wilhelm-Eakin Funeral Home, P.A., Lonaconing.
