Frostburg, Maryland - It is with profound sadness we, his family, announce the passing of Michael Edward Wilhelm who passed away too young at the age of 69 on Nov. 7, 2024, from a heart attack. He will be sadly missed by his heartbroken family and friends. We know he is in a better place, fishing on a lake in Heaven with his dad, Ray Wilhelm, who passed in May of 2022. Mike was a hard working man who loved fishing and hunting. He was quite the character and always had a story to tell. You would always end up laughing when he was around. His laugh was contagious and heartwarming. He was a veteran who loved his country and served in the Navy.

There will be a Celebration of Life at the Wilhelm Recreation Area in Avilton on Sunday, Nov. 17th, at 2 p.m. All family and friends are welcome. Please come and bid farewell to a man who will be greatly missed.
